Sophos Essay Competition
The Sophos Essay Competition is an opportunity for students to complete independent research in an area that interests them. All entries should be either philosophical or ethical in nature, though students can write on almost any topic or area that interests them. Last year we had entries on:
- Morality
- Animal Rights
- Philosophy of Art
- Assisted Dying
- Internet Politics
- Philosophy of Music
- Existence of Evil
The competition is open to all students from Year Nine upwards. There will be prizes for the best essay and runner-up prizes where appropriate. Students will be given the opportunity to meet and discuss their essay with a member of staff in order to help support them in researching and writing.
If a student is interested in writing an entry to take part, then they will need to complete the attached form and either hand this, or email it, in to Mr Gibson (j.gibson@arkalexandra.org).
