Ark Alexandra students' artwork featured in BAFTA's 25-year time capsule.

Tuesday 04 January 2022

In July 2021, Ark Alexandra Academy via Place2be submitted artwork to BAFTA in response to the Covid-19 pandemic. In November, we were thrilled to hear that out of 140 schools, Ark Alexandra students' artwork from years 11, 12, and 13 was chosen to go into the BAFTA time capsule and stored in BAFTA HQ in London for 25 years. The students were invited to a launch event in London.

Ark Alexandra's artwork was also featured in the showreel film at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wRZuiPqIkwY. Please take time to view this film, as it includes amazing poems, films, and creations from primary and secondary schools nationally.

We would to thank Place2Be for developing this important project with BAFTA, and a special thank you to Ark Alexandra Art Teacher Mr. Woodhead for encouraging the students to make such incredibly honest and powerful responses to the Pandemic.
