Year 12 enthusiastically participated in the KPMG Work Readiness Seminar.

Tuesday 29 June 2021

Year 12 enthusiastically participated in the KPMG seminar. The purpose was to support students to develop ‘soft skills’ essential to the work-place in the Twenty First century. They worked together in teams to design various high-tech solutions, alongside learning how much technology influences our lives. At the end of the seminar, the students presented to a panel of KPMG employees, their ideas, in a Dragon’s Dens style pitch. All students contributed speaking clearly and confidently, they also included designs and diagrams, demonstrating their range of talents and skills. Aodan Langan even accompanied his group’s presentation on the piano. The feedback from the judges was:

“The students were a pleasure to work with and really pushed themselves outside of their comfort zone. The ideas presented were some of the best we’ve ever seen in the history of delivering this programme! They should be incredibly proud of themselves and were a credit to your school.”

The seminar was an excellent start to our week of careers related activities and guidance.
