Ark Alexandra Academy’s Year 10 boys’ football team continued their impressive start to the District League with another commanding 6–1 victory, this time against Bexhill Academy.
Both teams started brilliantly, but Alexandra soon began to take control, producing some excellent passages of football to establish a two-goal lead. Bexhill responded by growing into the game and pulling a goal back, but the Alexandra players reacted positively, regaining their momentum and adding two further goals before half-time.
The second half saw more of the same, with Alexandra demonstrating their quality both in and out of possession. Their organisation, teamwork and attacking intent kept the pressure on Bexhill, and two more goals completed an emphatic 6–1 win.
Goals came from Callum (2), Jenson, Harley, Meshach and Isaac, with six different players contributing to the scoreline.
The result means Alexandra have now secured two wins from their opening two District League fixtures, with Robertsbridge still to play.
Head of Football Ellis Nuttall said: “I’m extremely proud of the boys for their continued hard work, which has reflected in their recent performances.”
Congratulations to the whole squad on another excellent team performance. They will now look to maintain their winning form in their remaining league fixture.
