On the 8th May, 26 cadets attended the 80th VE Day Commemoration Event at Rushlake Green. They had been invited to take part in the event by the Parish Council. The cadets formed-up on the main road and were accompanied by a drum group. With Sea Cadets from Eastbourne, they marched up to the village green. Once there they paraded and stood to attention while the speech from King George VI sounded out across the green, informing the British people that the second World War had come to an end. When this had finished, flags were raised and the parade was dismissed.
The cadets as usual did themselves and the school proud and were great ambassadors for the school.
