Ark Alexandra Academy's Year 11 boys signed off their school football careers in spectacular style, winning the County Shield with a commanding 10-0 victory over Lewes Priory in the final at Lancing FC.
Having reached the final with impressive wins over Durrington, Holy Trinity, Beacon and Buckswood, the team arrived full of confidence and delivered a performance to remember.
Roman opened the scoring early before Sonny doubled the lead just minutes later. Kassim added two more, while Sonny grabbed his second before half-time as Ark Alexandra stormed into a 5-0 lead at the break.
The second half brought more of the same, with Charlie M heading home from an Archie free-kick, Ethan adding another, Ryan converting from the penalty spot and Sonny completing a superb four-goal haul as Ark Alexandra reached double figures.
Despite the scoreline, Lewes Priory continued to battle throughout and showed great spirit until the final whistle.
Following the match, coach Mr Elford praised his players' commitment and teamwork throughout the season.
"The boys thoroughly deserved their success. They have worked hard, supported one another and shown real perseverance throughout the year. Every player has played their part, and I couldn't be prouder of what they have achieved."
The victory provides a fitting end to an outstanding season and a memorable farewell for a talented Year 11 group who have left a lasting legacy at the academy.
