On Tuesday 14th January 2025, eleven pupils travelled to Waterhall, Brighton to represent the academy in the Sussex Schools Cross Country Championships. Every pupil showed exceptional resilience and determination on a notoriously difficult course, which contained a very steep hill and boggy sections. With between 200-250 pupils in each race, our students had some outstanding results. Top performers were Florence who finished 7th and Amelia who finished 10th in the Junior Girls. These top 20 finishes guaranteed their selection to represent Sussex at the upcoming Regional Cross Country Championships. We are awaiting results for the Junior Girls and Intermediate Boys Teams events where all four athletes in these teams finished in the top 100.
