This involved building an off-the-ground A-frame shelter, water-catcher and a signal fire. They have also taken part in activities such as axe throwing and archery, command tasks that have challenged their teamwork, communication and problem solving skills. Night activities have made them aware of how far light and sound travel when the wood goes to sleep. Throughout their stay the cadets have been issued with daily ration packs and had showers from watering cans.
