Sussex Schools' Track & Field County Championships

It has been another busy week for our athletes, with students competing for Hastings and Rother at the Sussex Schools Track & Field County Championships on Saturday 14th June.

The day saw many wonderful performances from everyone in the team, and for some, it was the first time competing at this level beyond school events.

The full breakdown of results from Hastings and Rother were as follows:

  • S. Smith – Junior Girls 200m – 4th - 28.86s;
  • J. O’Sullivan – Junior Boy Shot – 9th – 9.23m;
  • O. Russell – Inter Boy – Shot – 4th – 10.07m;
  • F. Tewkesbury – Junior Girl – 1500m– 8th 5m02s;
  • A. Skelton – Junior Girls - 1500m – 12th 5m23s;
  • A. Larkin – Junior Boys– 1500m – 8th – 4m52.97s;
  • A. Oakman – Inter Girls Hammer – 3rd - 39.04m.

Sadly, some of our athletes couldn’t attend the event, but we would like to thank the students, parents and carers who did. Congratulation to all for both your selection and results. What an honour to represent Hastings and Rother.
