Academic Success at Ark Alexandra Academy: Raising Achievement, Expanding Futures

At Ark Alexandra Academy, we are incredibly proud of the remarkable progress our students continue to make. Our latest outcomes reflect years of dedication, hard work and ambition from students, families and staff, and demonstrate the transformational impact of a relentless focus on excellence.

These results are not simply statistics. They represent young people achieving more, unlocking new opportunities and building brighter futures.

Continued Improvement Across All Key Measures

Over the last four years, Ark Alexandra Academy has seen significant growth in every major academic indicator.

Attainment 8 Reaches Its Highest Level

Attainment 8, which measures students' overall performance across a broad range of subjects, has risen from 38.4 in 2023 to 45.6 in 2026, an increase of 7.2 points.

This sustained improvement shows that more students are achieving strongly across their full curriculum, strengthening their readiness for sixth form, college, apprenticeships and future employment.

More Students Securing Strong Passes in English and Mathematics

English and Mathematics remain the foundations of future success, and we are delighted to see the number of students achieving a Grade 4 or above continue to increase.

  • 49% achieved Grade 4+ in 2023
  • 70% achieved Grade 4+ in 2026

This represents a remarkable 21 percentage point increase in just three years.31 percentage points for students with Special Educational Needs.

A Grade 4 pass opens doors to further education, training opportunities and future careers. The significant improvement means hundreds more students now have access to a wider range of pathways beyond school.

Aspiration and Excellence at Higher Grades

Particularly encouraging is the growth in students achieving Grade 5 or above in English and Mathematics.

  • 29% achieved Grade 5+ in 2023
  • 53% achieved Grade 5+ in 2026

This represents an outstanding 24 percentage point increase.

Grade 5 is recognised as a strong pass and provides students with greater access to advanced courses, Level 3 qualifications, university pathways and highly skilled careers. The increase demonstrates not only improved attainment, but also rising aspirations and stronger outcomes for all students.

Transforming Life Chances

Behind every percentage point is a young person with greater confidence, greater choice and greater opportunity.

Our improving results mean more students are able to:

  • Progress successfully into sixth form study
  • Access college and specialist courses
  • Secure apprenticeships and vocational pathways
  • Meet entry requirements for higher education
  • Pursue ambitious career aspirations
  • Develop the confidence to succeed beyond school

A Community Effort

These achievements reflect the collective efforts of our students, staff, families and wider community. Together, we have created a culture where ambition is encouraged, progress is celebrated and every student is supported to succeed.

While we are proud of how far we have come, we remain focused on continuing this journey. Our commitment remains the same: ensuring every young person at Ark Alexandra Academy receives an excellent education and leaves us ready to thrive in the next stage of their life.

Looking Ahead

The progress made between 2023 and 2026 demonstrates the positive trajectory of the academy and the impact of high expectations, excellent teaching and strong support systems.

We celebrate these achievements with our students and look forward to building on this success in the years ahead.

Real progress. Real opportunity. Real futures.
