This Year 6 transition web page will be updated regularly and provides Year 6 parents with a 'one stop shop' containing all the information you will need to ensure your child's transition to Ark Alexandra is as smooth as possible.

Choosing the right secondary school is an important decision for families.

The latest Department for Education performance data shows the outcomes achieved by students at local schools across key measures including Attainment 8, English and Maths results, and EBacc entry.

Ark Alexandra Academy is the top-performing secondary in Hastings. We are proud of the strong outcomes our students achieve and the opportunities this creates for their future education and careers.

Ark Alexandra Academy operates as one school across two campuses – under one unified admissions policy.  

The two-campus model allows our community to enjoy all the benefits of a small school model, whilst maintaining the advantages of being part of a larger organisation. 

Students are placed on one campus for the duration of their education with the school*. Parents applying to send their child to Ark Alexandra Academy do so on the basis that they are happy for their child to attend either of our campuses. Our campuses are approximately 1-mile apart:

Key information 

• Campus allocation is separate from the admissions process.    
• Students, staff and resources are distributed evenly between the two campuses to maintain fairness and equality.  
• Students are distributed between campuses to maintain an even split by overall number, gender, SEND and FSM. We also take into account factors such as sibling relationships, safeguarding and information shared by primary schools and parents.  
• Because of the local geography in Hastings, more families live closer to the William Parker Campus. To maintain an even distribution of students across both campuses, students may not be placed on the campus closest to their home address. 
• Provision across both campuses is equal, meaning both use the same policies, curriculum and high expectations.  
• We are unable to offer an appeals process for campus allocations.
