Students from six local schools have been avidly reading this year’s shortlist for the 1066 Schools' Book Award 2025. The winner ‘Teen Titans: Raven’ by Kami Garcia, was announced at a presentation event at St Richard’s Catholic College on Thursday 28 March with all the participating schools in attendance.
Students from St Richard’s did a wonderful job hosting the event. This was followed by a pupil from each of the participating schools reading an excerpt from one of the shortlisted books. Zoe Morse represented Ark Alexandra and did a fantastic job reading an excerpt from ‘The Clockwork Conspiracy’.
Well done to Bella Wright on winning the best book review award and for reading it beautifully with Amelia Broughton.
Our students were a credit to the Academy…well done!
