The school community came together this week for a warm and reflective Christmas celebration.
On Helenswood Campus, this was led by Fr David, who opened the event with an act of reflection and blessing.
The afternoon began on a festive note as two talented Year 11 Music students. Harley and Reuben, performed a gentle melody of Christmas Jazz. Their performance was followed by a welcome message and a reading of the weekly Bible verse, offering a moment of contemplation.
A reading of My Christmas Wish by Ruth Kephart added to the atmosphere, before the school choir delivered a beautiful rendition of Silent Night, filling the space with familiar harmonies.
Fr David then blessed the school’s Christmas tree, which was lit by Bertie (Year 7).
The event concluded with an Advent prayer and blessing from Fr David.
Across both campuses, following the tree lighting, each tutor group approached the trees to add their personal Wish or Hope, creating a collective display of goodwill and aspiration for the year ahead.
A beautiful reminder of the unity, creativity, and hope that make our school community so special as we begin the Christmas season.
