Ark Alexandra Academy is celebrating an outstanding achievement after Amelia and Florence qualified for the English Schools Cross Country Championships, following an excellent performance at the Sussex Schools Cross Country Championships.
In addition to the qualifiers, Tera secured a place as a reserve, an impressive accomplishment in her first year competing in this age category.
Qualification came as part of a highly successful day for Ark Alexandra, with three top 10 finishes and numerous top 50 placings across races that featured over 200 competitors. The results reflect both the depth of talent and the determination shown by the athletes throughout the competition.
Many of the runners regularly attend the Thursday morning Cross Country Club at William Parker, and their commitment and consistency are now clearly paying off. Staff praised the athletes for their dedication, resilience, and willingness to put in extra training.
With momentum firmly on their side, the academy now looks ahead to the Year 7 & 8 Sussex Schools Cross Country Championships, taking place at Christ Hospital on Tuesday 24th February 2026.
Congratulations to all involved on a fantastic achievement.
