This week marked a proud moment for the cadet programme as a number of cadets were formally recognised with well-earned promotions, celebrating their sustained effort, commitment and positive attitude.
For many of those promoted, this achievement represented their very first step up in rank — a significant milestone in their cadet journey and a reflection of consistent hard work over time.
The newly promoted cadets distinguished themselves across several key areas essential to leadership and personal development within the organisation.
They demonstrated:
Leadership in Action by supporting their peers, showing confidence, and leading by example during training activities. Their willingness to take initiative and guide others made a noticeable impact on the group as a whole.
Outstanding Discipline also played a crucial role in promotion decisions. Cadets were recognised for punctuality, smart turnout, adherence to rules, and respectful conduct towards both senior and junior members, all of which contribute to a positive and professional cadet environment.
Excellence in Training was another defining factor. Cadets were assessed across a wide range of areas including physical fitness, drill, academic study, weapon handling and outdoor activities. Those promoted showed resilience, focus and a clear commitment to continuous improvement.
Meeting Organisational Requirements each promotion was awarded in line with organisational standards, including completion of required training hours and meeting performance benchmarks. Cadets who met or exceeded these standards were commended for their perseverance and dedication.
In addition to the promotions, several cadets were awarded their one-star badges during the training evening, recognising successful completion of key programme criteria. These cadets will now move on to more specific and focused training as they continue their development.
Staff congratulated all those recognised and encouraged every cadet to continue seeking feedback, setting goals and striving for future progression.
