Ark Alexandra Academy welcomed more than 20 employers, colleges, universities and training providers to its first ever Careers Fair as part of its Careers Exploration Day on 12 May.
The event gave students the opportunity to engage directly with professionals from a wide range of industries and educational sectors, helping them explore future career pathways and gain valuable insight into opportunities beyond school.
Throughout the day, students demonstrated impressive maturity, curiosity and enthusiasm as they spoke confidently with exhibitors, asked thoughtful questions, and explored the many routes available to them after education.
Feedback from attending organisations was overwhelmingly positive, with many praising students for their excellent behaviour, engagement and respectful attitude during the event.
The Careers Fair formed an important part of the academy’s commitment to raising aspirations, broadening horizons and supporting students to make informed decisions about their futures.
The academy would like to thank all organisations who attended and contributed to the success of the event: Elev8 Careers, The Bank of England, Active Hastings, Ashdown Hurrey, Balfour Beatty Living Places, Bexhill College, Brighton and Sussex Medical School (BSMS), Calfordseaden, DWP (Department for Work and Pensions), East Sussex College, East Sussex School Health, Environment Agency, Focus SB, GoPro, Sussex Police, Hadlow College, Heringtons Solicitors, Kier, Strawberry Hill Farm, Public Health, Southern Water, The British Army, University of Brighton, University of Hertfordshire, University of Sussex and Canterbury Christ Church University and everyone that contributed to a careers panel
