Students from Ark Alexandra Academy recently enjoyed an exciting residential trip to University of Oxford, giving them a valuable insight into university life and future opportunities.
Thirty students from Years 9 and 10 travelled to Oxford for the residential visit, beginning the trip with an evening spent enjoying the countryside and taking part in football activities together.
The following day, students explored the historic city of Oxford, visiting famous landmarks including the Radcliffe Camera and the Bridge of Sighs.
Students then visited St John's College, Oxford, where they attended informative talks, heard inspiring testimonies from current Oxford students, and toured the college grounds. They also enjoyed lunch in the college’s impressive dining hall, experiencing a taste of student life at one of the world’s leading universities.
The trip continued with a visit to the Oxford University Museum of Natural History, where students explored fascinating exhibits, handled artefacts, and even encountered live insects during interactive activities.
The residential provided students with a memorable and inspiring experience, encouraging them to think ambitiously about their futures and higher education opportunities.
