Students from Ark Alexandra Academy produced an outstanding performance on court as the Year 8/9 netball team secured a commanding 17-4 victory over Buckswood.
The team demonstrated excellent ball control, accurate passing and intelligent use of space throughout the match, creating numerous scoring opportunities and maintaining control from the first whistle. A standout performance in mid-court came from Beri, whose communication, leadership and control of the game earned her the honour of being named Player of the Match by Buckswood.
In attack, the shooters made excellent use of the circle to create space and apply pressure. Spencer delivered a remarkable shooting display, scoring 10 of Ark Alexandra's 17 goals.
The defensive unit of Esmay, Dani and Ella also played a crucial role in the victory, working tirelessly to restrict Buckswood's scoring opportunities and keeping them scoreless in two quarters of the match. Meanwhile, Millie and Elle showed great determination and resilience in a physical contest against Buckswood's centre player, winning key interceptions and helping Ark maintain possession.
The result reflects the dedication and commitment shown by the squad during their Monday training sessions at the Helenswood Campus, with their hard work clearly translating into success on the court.
Congratulations to all involved on an excellent team performance and a fantastic victory for Ark Alexandra Academy.
