Ark Alexandra Academy student Mehran has achieved remarkable success on the international stage, winning two gold medals and earning two World Championship titles at the prestigious WKO Championships in Basildon, Essex.
Representing Hastings Kombat Academy, Mehran competed against some of the best young fighters from across the UK, Europe and beyond in one of the sport's most highly regarded competitions.
Having already gained valuable experience competing locally and internationally, including tournaments in France, Mehran stepped up to the biggest challenge of his career to date and delivered an outstanding performance.
His first success came in the 12–13 Years K1 Light Contact division, where he showcased exceptional skill, determination and composure to claim the gold medal and be crowned WKO World Champion.
Later in the day, Mehran entered the 12–13 Years K1 Full Contact division. After progressing through the competition, he faced a highly experienced opponent in the final. Executing his game plan perfectly, Mehran applied relentless pressure from the opening bell, forcing a stoppage just six seconds into the first round and securing his second gold medal of the day.
The victory crowned him WKO World Champion in two separate divisions, an incredible achievement that reflects his dedication, hard work and commitment to training.
