Year 7 students at Ark Alexandra Academy recently enjoyed a fun-filled team-building afternoon to celebrate their successful transition to secondary school and recognise their excellent attendance and effort during their first two weeks.
The event provided students with the opportunity to take part in a variety of activities and friendly competitions, designed to develop key skills including communication, teamwork and leadership. Throughout the afternoon, students worked together enthusiastically, strengthening friendships and building a strong sense of House pride.
The celebration also marked an important milestone for Ark Alexandra's newly appointed Year 7 House Captains, who were given their first opportunity to lead and inspire their fellow House members. Their enthusiasm and leadership helped create a positive and supportive atmosphere, encouraging everyone to get involved.
Students demonstrated fantastic teamwork and resilience throughout the challenges, embracing every opportunity to learn, collaborate and have fun together.
The afternoon concluded with a rewards assembly, where students reflected on their achievements and celebrated the skills they had developed since joining the academy.
Staff were delighted to see Year 7 students settling into school life so successfully and making the most of every opportunity available to them.
The event highlighted the positive start the year group has made to life at Ark Alexandra and the strong foundations being built for a successful and enjoyable secondary school journey.
