Last Friday, forty cadets took part in an enriching educational visit to the Imperial War Museum in London, marking a memorable highlight of their cadet programme. Departing early in the morning, the group arrived at the museum, where they began the day with a safety briefing before exploring the extensive exhibits.
Spanning five impressive floors, the museum offered a powerful and immersive insight into the First and Second World Wars. Cadets engaged with interactive displays, listened to original wartime audio recordings, and viewed historic footage that vividly illustrated life during periods of conflict. The visit explored not only the harsh realities of war but also the medical, technological, and scientific innovations that emerged as a result.
Throughout the day, cadets captured photographs to remember the experience and visited the museum shop to purchase souvenirs. The trip was thoroughly enjoyed by all and provided a meaningful and reflective conclusion to a busy and successful first two terms of cadet activities. With the visit complete, cadets now look ahead to a well-deserved break before the next phase of their cadet journey begins.
