The latest performance data published by the Department for Education has highlighted Ark Alexandra Academy as the leading secondary school in Hastings across a number of key measures.
The government data compares schools nationally using indicators such as Attainment 8, which reflects students’ average achievement across eight core subjects, alongside results in English and Maths and EBacc entry. The English Baccalaureate (EBacc) measures the proportion of students studying a group of traditional academic subjects including English, mathematics, sciences, humanities and languages.
According to the most recent figures available on the Department for Education’s school performance tables, Ark Alexandra Academy achieved the strongest results among secondary schools in Hastings across these measures.
The data provides an important snapshot of how schools are supporting students to achieve strong academic outcomes and develop the knowledge and skills needed for the next stage of their education.
Leaders at the academy said they were pleased to see the school’s progress reflected in the national data, which recognises the hard work of both students and staff.
The Department for Education publishes school performance data annually to help parents, students and communities understand how schools are performing across England.
