Faith, Transformation, and Mission: An Inspiring Visit for Ark Alexandra Students
Last week, students in Years 7 to 11 across both campuses welcomed Trudy Makepeace, who shared her powerful life story and her work in Christian mission and evangelism.
Trudy spoke openly about her past experiences of addiction and offending, and how her life was radically transformed through faith. Her journey from brokenness to freedom has since become a source of hope for many, shaping her calling to support and inspire others facing similar struggles.
Now an ordained minister with Elim Pentecostal Churches, Trudy is a UK-based evangelist known for her work in faith-led outreach, as well as her involvement in international mission. She is a recent graduate of the Christ for All Nations (CFaN) Bootcamp in Orlando, Florida, and works in partnership with the CFaN Evangelism Alliance.
During her visit, Trudy spoke to students about mission work she has been involved in across Nigeria, the Congo, Zambia, and India. She explained how her Christian faith motivates her to share the message of the Good News around the world, reflecting Jesus’ instruction to his disciples to “go and make disciples of all nations.”
The visit was particularly significant for Year 11 students, who are currently studying mission and evangelism as part of their curriculum. CFaN is one of the organisations they explore as a case study, making the opportunity to hear directly from someone involved in this work especially valuable.
