Ark Alexandra Academy has once again secured the District Cup title, making it an incredible five consecutive wins after a dramatic penalty shootout victory over Buckswood.
The final, held at Little Common FC, was a closely contested match, with both teams showing strong organisation and discipline. Buckswood took the lead in the first half with a well-taken goal, leaving Ark Alexandra chasing the game.
Just as the match seemed to be slipping away, Ark Alexandra produced a moment of real quality. In added time, Archie delivered a superb cross from the left, which was met by Sammy at the back post, volleying home a dramatic equaliser.
With the score level at 1–1, the match went to penalties. Buckswood missed their opening attempt, and Ark Alexandra held their nerve, scoring all five spot kicks and securing the trophy once again.
The team’s journey to the final included victories over St Leonards Academy, Claverham, Bexhill, and Buckswood, highlighting their consistency and determination throughout the competition.
This latest success cements Ark Alexandra’s dominance in the district and is a testament to the skill, resilience, and teamwork of the Year 11 squad – Dougie, Ethan, Dexter, Archie, Robin, Sammy, Stan, Kassim, Sonny, Roman, Charlie M, Riley, Charlie R, Ryan, Blake, Ollie, Jack.
An incredible achievement and a brilliant way to cap off their journey, we are so proud of this team!
