A team of 41 talented students from Years 7–11 proudly represented Ark Alexandra Academy at the Sussex Schools’ Gymnastics and Trampoline Competition, held last week at the Helenswood Campus.
With more than 200 competitors from schools and colleges across Sussex taking part, the atmosphere was electric and the standard of performance exceptionally high. Gymnasts competed across a range of categories, from beginner to advanced, showcasing impressive routines on both the floor and trampoline.
Ark Alexandra students rose to the challenge, determined to continue the success the school has achieved in previous years. For some competitors it was their first ever gymnastics competition, while for others it was a familiar stage. Regardless of experience, every student performed with confidence, determination and pride.
Their hard work paid off in spectacular fashion, with the team bringing home an incredible 15 gold, 10 silver and 12 bronze medals.
Throughout the event, the students demonstrated outstanding skill, focus and resilience while supporting one another and representing the school with pride.
The school also extended special thanks to the team’s coaches, particularly Irene, whose dedication and support helped prepare the athletes for competition.
It was a fantastic achievement for the entire team and a performance the whole school community can be proud of.
