Year 10 Photography students at Ark Alexandra Academy have once again impressed with an outstanding collection of creative work as part of their current project, Identity.
Drawing inspiration from renowned photographer Edward Honaker, students experimented with light and composition to produce a series of striking portrait images. Using coloured torches in a darkroom setting, they carefully crafted dramatic lighting effects to capture unique and expressive portraits.
The creativity did not stop there. Students then enhanced their images digitally, applying their own cracked-glass effect to the portraits, adding depth and emotional impact to their work.
Throughout the project, students have been developing a wide range of Photoshop editing techniques, demonstrating not only their artistic vision but also their growing technical expertise.
The final outcomes showcase a powerful blend of creativity, experimentation and skill, with each image reflecting the students’ individual interpretations of identity. The work stands as a testament to both their dedication and the high standard of photography being produced at the academy.
