Students from Ark Alexandra Academy have demonstrated exceptional creativity and skill in their latest photography homework challenge, producing a collection of striking and imaginative work.
Year 10 photography students were set a unique task, one with no fixed brief. Instead, they were encouraged to step beyond the classroom, explore their surroundings, and connect with their own creative instincts. The only requirement was simple: to think like a photographer and capture something meaningful.
The results were outstanding. Students showcased a growing confidence in composition, experimenting with light, texture, perspective, and subject matter to produce a diverse range of powerful images. Each photograph reflected individuality and originality, highlighting the students’ developing artistic voices.
This open-ended approach allowed students to take ownership of their learning, pushing creative boundaries and applying techniques in real-world contexts. Their enthusiasm and willingness to embrace the challenge were evident in the quality of the final pieces, which offer a powerful glimpse into the talent and creativity flourishing within the academy’s photography programme.
