Why do we learn Drama?
The Arts are fundamental to the growth and development of all students.
The Drama curriculum provides innovative learning experiences, allowing our students to develop interpersonal skills, build resilience and become creative, critical thinkers.
Every child is recognised as a unique individual.
The ability to learn is underpinned by the teaching of basic skills, knowledge, concepts and values.
We celebrate and welcome differences within our school community.
We demand imaginative, high-quality work.
We encourage our students to develop practical work which engages and inspires others.
We develop vital social and emotional skills which support our students across the whole curriculum.
We believe that childhood should be a happy, investigative and enquiring time in our lives where there are no limits to curiosity and there is a thirst for new experiences and knowledge.
Drama is vital for building skills for success in all areas - Creativity / Collaboration / Confidence / Communication / Control / Co-ordination / Commitment.
