The Ark Alexandra Academy Year 7/8 girls’ football team has completed an incredible unbeaten season, securing the South East Sussex Schools District League title for the second consecutive year.
The team sealed the championship with a superb 4–1 victory over Claverham in a tense title-deciding match, showing resilience, teamwork, and determination to once again be crowned champions.
Ark Alexandra’s campaign included impressive victories against St Richards, St Leonard’s, Hastings, and Claverham, with the team remaining undefeated throughout the season.
In the final match, Ark Alexandra initially fell behind before responding brilliantly. Amelia calmly finished to bring the score level before half-time, setting the stage for an outstanding second-half performance from Rose, who scored a superb hat-trick to secure the win and complete a memorable league campaign.
The team’s success reflects their commitment, skill, and teamwork across the entire season, as well as the continued strength of girls’ football at the academy.
Winning the league title for a second year in succession is a fantastic achievement and one the whole school community can be incredibly proud of.
