The senior Cadets had a visit from the Army Engagement Team on Tuesday afternoon. During the session the students worked with regular soldiers still serving in a range of units where they were able to ask specific questions and get an insight into Army life and careers. The Cadets took part in a fitness session where they experienced some of the physical demands placed on soldiers, they spent time with engineers who looked at mine clearing and mine fields where the Cadets had an opportunity to work in teams and cross imaginary mine fields collecting vital equipment as they went. Finally the Cadets spent time with soldiers serving as medics with the Airborne Regiments, where they got to practice their First Aid skills in a battle environment, evacuating an injured soldier. This was a great session with many asking interesting questions to gain a clearer understanding of military life.
