On Saturday morning while most of our cadet staff were on the Silver Duke of Edinburgh expedition, Sergent Light, an instructor with our Combined Cadet Force and Staff Sergent Chloe Hovenden, our most senior cadet took part in the centenary celebration for the Pett & District and Hastings Branch of the Royal British Legion. There was a drumhead ceremony at the newly dedicated war memorial at St Andrew’s Church, Fairlight, followed by a parade to a celebratory event. We were the only Combined Cadet Force to attend the ceremony, and marching in the parade and our presence was very much appreciated.
